Background:
Waste solutions for Circular Economy’ is supported by a joint climate action program- MAF (Mitigation Action Facility) set up by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) of the United Kingdom (UK), European Commission (EU Commission) and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF). This is a 5-year project which is being operated in 5 lighthouse locations- Patna, Varanasi, State of Goa, Bengaluru & Tiruchirappalli with local and state governments as partners. GIZ will act as the NAMA Support Organisation (NSO) for the project and will be responsible for the delivery of funds, services, financial and administrative management of the project.
The project is currently operational in Kankarbagh and Bankipur circles of Patna and is extending support to PMC for the development of a 5 TPD Biogas/Bio-methanation plant at Bazaar Samiti. This plant will process segregated organic waste generated from the Bazaar Samiti, a wholesale fruit and vegetable market located in the same vicinity, and aims to demonstrate a sustainable circular economy model. As a part of the project, GIZ India intends to hire services from able and willing firms as development partners for the Supply, Installation, and Commissioning of a 5-TPD Biogas plant with Operation and Maintenance for 01 month in Patna, Bihar.
Tasks for the assignment:
- Supply, Installation, and Commissioning of a 5-TPD Biogas plant with Operation and Maintenance for 01 month in Patna, Bihar as per approved design conforming to the Technical Specifications.
- The Biogas–CBG Plant shall be designed for processing 5 TPD of segregated organic municipal solid waste to produce biogas, which will be upgraded to Compressed Biogas (CBG) with ≥90% methane content and bottled at 200–250 bar pressure. The design shall ensure safe, efficient, and environment-friendly operations, incorporating all relevant Indian Standards (IS), BIS codes, and applicable safety norms, including obtaining all statutory approvals and PESO clearance.
